Terms of Service
Last updated 18 October 2026
The rules for ordering with Dishi, written as plainly as we can. Please read them before your first order.
1.About these terms
These terms apply when you use the Dishi website or apps to browse, order or pay for food. By creating an account or placing an order you agree to them. Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Consumer Protection Act [Chapter 14:44] or any other law of Zimbabwe.
2.What Dishi does
Dishi connects you with independent restaurants, takeaways and bakeries (our restaurant partners) and arranges delivery by independent riders. Each restaurant partner prepares your food and is responsible for its quality, ingredients and hygiene. Dishi is responsible for the ordering service, payments, delivery arrangements and customer support.
3.Your account
- You must be 18 or older to create an account or pay for an order.
- Give us a mobile number you control. We use it to sign you in and for your rider to reach you.
- Keep your sign-in codes private. We will never ask you for a code, PIN or password by phone or WhatsApp.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else is using your account.
4.Placing an order
When you place an order, you make an offer to buy the items in your cart. The order is accepted when the restaurant confirms it, and you will see this on the order screen. A restaurant may decline an order, for example if an item has sold out, and you will not be charged for anything that is not supplied.
Delivery and preparation times are estimates. Traffic, weather and busy kitchens can cause delays, and we will keep you updated.
5.Prices and fees
- All prices are in US dollars and include any taxes the restaurant charges.
- Before you pay, you will see the food total, delivery fee, service fee and any discount. That total is what you pay.
- Prices on Dishi are set by each restaurant and may differ from prices in their own premises.
- If a price is clearly wrong because of an error, we will contact you before going ahead.
6.Paying
You can pay with cash on delivery or online with mobile money or a card through our payment provider. Online payments are confirmed with the provider before your order goes to the kitchen. Read how we keep your money safe in Funds protection.
For cash orders, please have the amount ready in US dollars. Riders may not always carry change.
7.Delivery and collection
- Give a full address, the nearest landmark and any gate instructions, and keep your phone on.
- If the rider cannot reach you after waiting and calling for 10 minutes, the order may be cancelled and treated as delivered.
- For collection orders, collect from the restaurant within 30 minutes of the ready time.
- Riders may refuse to hand over an order if they feel unsafe.
8.Cancelling an order
You can cancel free of charge until the restaurant accepts your order. After that, food is already being prepared, so we may not be able to refund it unless something went wrong on our side. See our Refund Policy.
9.Allergies and dietary needs
Menu descriptions come from the restaurant. If you have an allergy or strict dietary need, add a note to your order and contact the restaurant through us before ordering. Restaurants cannot always guarantee that food is free from a particular ingredient.
10.Promotions and referrals
- Each promotion has its own conditions, shown where you apply it, such as a minimum order.
- Promotions are for one person and one account each and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- We may remove a promotion or credit gained through fraud, fake accounts or misuse.
11.Using the service fairly
Do not use Dishi to break the law, place fake orders, abuse or threaten riders, restaurant staff or our team, or try to interfere with our systems. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
12.Our responsibility to you
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. If something goes wrong because of us, we will put it right as described in our Refund Policy and Complaints process.
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as power cuts, network outages, severe weather or road closures. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility where the law does not allow it to be limited.
13.Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. Important changes will be shown on the website or sent to you before they take effect. The terms in force when you place an order apply to that order.
These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe, and the courts of Zimbabwe can hear any dispute.
Dishi is a trading name. The full name, registration number and registered office of the company that operates Dishi will be published on this page before ordering opens.
