Message your rider without sharing your number
, 1 min read

You can now chat with your rider inside Dishi. Your phone number stays private, and so does theirs.
Sometimes your rider needs a little help at the last stretch. Which gate? Is the dog tied up? Can you come out? Now you can sort it out in seconds, inside Dishi, without giving anyone your phone number.
How to message your rider
- Once a rider accepts your order, a Message button appears on your order page.
- Tap it to open the chat with your rider.
- Use a quick reply like Coming out now or Please wait at the gate, or type your own message.
Your rider sees your messages on their Dishi app and can reply the same way. A small number shows on the button when they send you something new.
Your number stays private
- Riders never see your phone number. Not on their screen, not in their app.
- You never see theirs. Both of you just chat.
- Phone numbers cannot be sent in chat. If anyone tries, the message is blocked, for everyone's safety.
Only the two of you
Only you and the rider delivering your order can read the chat. If a rider releases the job, they lose access straight away. The chat closes once your order is delivered.
If something goes wrong with a delivery, our team can read that chat to help sort it out, and every time they do is recorded.
Tips for a smooth delivery
- Add a clear landmark when you place your order. It saves more time than any message.
- Keep your phone nearby when your order is on the way.
- Be kind. Riders are working hard on busy roads, and a quick "Coming out now" goes a long way.
